Weston has a new map for the neighbor who never leaves the house without a leash in hand.
The city just published Paws in the Park, a map that shows which city parks welcome dogs and which ones do not. Most Weston parks are on the yes list, which gives you and your dog plenty of ground to cover on a cool morning.
The rules are short
Dogs stay on a leash no longer than six feet. Owners pick up after their pets. That is about it, and it keeps the parks pleasant for the next family that walks through.
Where to find it
The map is posted on the City of Weston news page, where you can open it or download it to your phone. Addresses and amenities for every park are listed on the city’s parks page, so you can check for shade and water before you head out.
Pick a new one this weekend. Your dog will not know the difference, but you might.
