Two new shelters are open at Vista Park, and they are ready for use right now.
The old shelters had reached the end of their service life from age and wear. The replacements give visitors a bigger spot to get out of the sun and the rain, add more seating, and should cost the city less to keep up over time. Both meet Florida Building Code standards.
The project checks another item off the city’s Parks and Recreation Master Plan, which has been working through park upgrades across Weston. Parks and Recreation work is paid for by property taxes.
If you have not been by in a while, the shelters are a good excuse to pack a snack and let the kids run.
