Weston’s Fourth of July traditions are back, and the celebration starts a day early. On Friday, July 3, the city hosts its free Hometown Fireworks Celebration at Weston Regional Park, 20200 Saddle Club Road. Gates open in the evening, with the fireworks show beginning around 9:00 p.m. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, and the whole family.

The fun continues Saturday, July 4. Early risers can join the Fourth of July 5K Run/Walk at Weston Town Center at 7:00 a.m. Then at 10:30 a.m., the hometown parade rolls through Town Center with floats, decorated bikes, and lots of red, white, and blue.

For a change of scenery, Flamingo Gardens in nearby Davie hosts a Fourth of July event among its gardens and wildlife starting at 11:15 a.m.

These events are a wonderful reminder of what makes Weston special: neighbors coming together to celebrate. Pack your sunscreen, find a shady spot, and enjoy the weekend.
